The incumbent is responsible for performing duties in the children's programmes, focusing on sports outreach under the Active Community Transformation Services (ACTS) Division of MYMCA Singapore.
He/She is responsible for planning, executing and implementing children's programmes, and supporting other related activities organized by the Association.
Responsibilities:
1. Programme Management
- Plans, executes and implements sports and wellness outreach programme for children, with secondary focus on wellness programmes for seniors and youths.
- Assists in evaluating programme quality and impact
2. Resource and Relationship
- Recruits and supervises instructors and volunteers to ensure sufficient and effective programme execution
- Plans, conducts and coordinates orientation and training for instructors and volunteers accordingly
- Works closely with supervisor and resource development team to build, establish, coordinate and manage effective working relationships with stakeholders for funding, regulatory, volunteerism and outreach work, e.g., community partners, government agencies, volunteer-related agencies, funders and donors
- Supports supervisor and resource development team to visit and network with schools, corporate bodies, government agencies, other voluntary organisations and existing partners
- Assists in the planning, coordination and execution of roadshows and fund-raising activities for the division as well as raising community awareness of programmes
3. Administration
- Ensures that all administration work like maintaining accurate records, information and database related to our beneficiaries, instructors, volunteers and partners are captured, correctly updated and easily accessible and kept as intellectual properties of the Association
- Collects, updates and analyses information and data for reporting and evaluation purposes
- Supports supervisor in planning annual goals, objectives and budget
- Prepares programme updates for monthly management reports
- Prepares monthly closing programme reports
2. Organizational Support
- Attends meetings (internal and external), workshops and seminars as and when required
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree holder
- Experience in sports and community services (programmes or events) will be added advantage
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Good team player
- Proficient in Microsoft
