Job Description
- In charge of Accounts Team staff of 6, responsible for task allocation and resource planning to ensure smooth operation of the team;
- Take overall charge periodical local MAS regulatory reports, eg. review MAS649, MAS610 etc, surveys required by MAS and Statistical Board, together with queries and additional information requested from regulators with accuracy;
- Take overall charge management reports and HO reports
- Review of daily monitoring of MAS compliance ratios, MCB, AMR, MLA etc with accuracy;
- Take charge of maintenance of regulatory reporting database and regulatory data mapping and recurring/ad hoc adjustment;
- In charge of regulatory or financial change impact analysis and simulation or changes in business activities, raise system change request if required, and perform UAT to ensure MAS requirement is adhered to;
- Take charge of change management projects or ad hoc topics in organization, systems, accounting changes or continuous improvements e.g. streamlining, automation etc.;
- Review periodical and adhoc financial reports for internal control and Management;
- Annual local statutory reporting financial statement and disclosure items;
- Support information requirements form external auditors on statutory audits;
- Take charge of general accounting control by developing good knowledge in ledger accounting, accounting path setting, daily reconciliation between GL and transaction details data;
- Take care of daily accounting functions;
- Take charge of projects, e.g. System enhancement, GST ACAP project, annual budgetary process;
- Proper documentation for audit trails and update of SOPs, and ensure proper and balanced control mindset to operate effectively within Accounts team
- In charge of tax related matters, e.g. income tax, GST etc.;
- Other adhoc assignment as required
Job Qualification
- Minimum a Degree qualification in Accounts or related field
- At least 5-6 years of working experience in the Banking industry
- Experience in enhancement/UATs/Projects is a plus
- Able to work independently
- Team player
- Accurate and prompt submission of reports
- Ability to work under pressure of meeting deadlines
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
