We are seeking a highly motivated, independent and meticulous individual to join our fast growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of staff in managing transactional accounting functions including payables, receivables and stock accounting
- Support the manager in resolving complex accounting issues or assist other departments in resolving financial issues when the need arises
- Oversee and perform monthly intercompany or principal billings and follow up on receivables from billings
- Fixed asset management
- Manage sundry payables, 3 way matching, invoice recognition, verification and closure of invoice disputes and preparation of payment
- Prompt reconciliation of trade payables and/or inventory clearing accounts
- Month end activities and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly reports including balance sheet schedules and cost centre reports
- Review and recommend changes to improve accounting processes and procedures
Requirement:
- Degree in Accountancy with minimum 3 years’ relevant experience
- Experience in team management is a pre-requisite
- Knowledge of SAP FICO is a distinct advantage
- Good working knowledge of Excel and Word
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to manage voluminous transactions
- Meticulous, able to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
