In this position as a Claims Specialist, you will be required to liaise with the policyholders, intermediaries, investigators, surveyors, adjusters, investigators, lawyers, 3rd party claimants, sister companies etc. You will be involved with a wide range of products such as Personal Accident, Travel Insurance, Home insurance and some Workmen Injury (WICA) policies.
The ideal incumbent will be expected to manage and process claims expeditiously, professionally and equitably within agreed service benchmarks or applicable protocols, ensure reserves are provided or updated in a timely and realistic manner and ensure recovery claims are pursued and followed up periodically.
Experience and skills
- 1+ years of experience in assessing and managing general insurance claims
- Preferably ACII/AAII, CGI/HI qualifications or relevant insurance equivalent
- Well versed in insurance principles and possess good interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and willingness to learn new skills.
