- Reporting to the Business Unit Head/ Head of Projects/ Managing Director.
- Overall responsible for the planning, execution and delivery of the project. Work closely with client’s representatives, consultants and other stakeholders to deliver all key project targets to highest standard with the project team.
- Review and scrutinize the project start-up and execution plan with the site management team, as well as to define key project targets in terms of time, cost, quality, resources, EHS and contractual.
- Prepare and manage budgetary plans, achieving required, or beyond target profit margin.
- Formulate subcontract award strategies independently. Manage all submitted Additional Works and Variation Order (AW/ VO) during project’s life cycle to ensure proper documentation and accountability of variance.
- Identify risks and provide appropriate mitigating strategies.
- Review with site management team on a regular basis to see if cost and value engineering initiatives can improve the delivery of project.
- Regularly assess the performance of the project team and leverage on the strength of individual members to contribute throughout duration of project.
- Identify and drive the implementation of innovative construction methodologies and practices on site to improve productivity and achieve lean outcome.
- Manage project team and foster collaborative spirit between team members, as well as commitment to achieving performance targets set.
- Lead team in tendering proposals in collaboration with corporate Departments to pitch for and secure new projects.
