Principal Commissioning Engineer and is responsible for the development & execution of various discipline specific procedures and method statements, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up deliverables, participation in design workshops, input to the development of Schedule and Cost Estimate on EPCI Projects.
Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively within the Project team and with Client to maintain positive relationships.
- Participates in the Engineering Design Workshops (HAZID / HAZOP, 3D Model, etc.).
- Reviews & formulize telecom discipline scope of work pertaining to commissioning, schedules, and specifications. Understands the requirements and deliverable requirements.
- Responsible for the development of commissioning and start-up deliverables on the project.
- Participates in the Modularization and Constructability Studies.
- Provides input for the development of a Commissioning Schedule and the integration into the overall EPC Schedule.
- Provides input to scope of work subcontracted packages as required for the cost estimate.
- Provides input for Spares, Temporary Equipment, Consumables and Tools as required for the EPC cost estimate.
- Provide inputs to CMS (commissioning management system) to develop and outline the commissioning scope.
- Enable resource forecast & manpower loadings.
- Manage the timely delivery of documentation, pre-commissioning & commissioning materials, personnel and vendors aligned to execution schedule.
- Attends Coordination & progress review Meeting and reports pre-commissioning and commissioning progress on daily basis.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Preferably possess a degree (or equivalent) in either Mechanical / Instrument / Electrical / EEE engineering.
- 12+ years of Experience in Commissioning execution, particularly in multi- discipline projects.
- Have pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up experience as a senior commissioning engineer on at least 2 major EPC projects in the Oil &Gas industry.
- Thorough understanding of the EPCI Project with good knowledge of Engineering and Construction activities
- Scheduling knowledge.
- Demonstrates a broad technical knowledge of construction and system completion activities.
- Knowledge of Completions Management Systems ( PIMS, ICAPS, Winpcs, Co Console)
- Able to effectively communicate technical solutions and concepts to other engineers and non-engineers.
- Must have strong English communications skills, both oral and written.
- Must have excellent computer software skills in MS Office suite as a minimum.
- Must have good Presentation skills for meetings with Engineering, Project Management and Client.
- Must have excellent organizational skills and be adaptable to various needs of various discipline groups.
- Excellent commercial and technical acumen.

- Demonstrate capability to take full ownership and be accountable for the success of his role.
