We now have a role for a strategic brand designer to help strengthen our value proposition across our businesses and markets. This role is centered on shaping Sembcorp's brand identity and how it’s presented externally and internally. To breathe life into a brand and give it a tangible identity, a branding designer must convey strategic business messages via words and imagery that cut through the noise and strike a chord with the public. The strategic brand designer will collaborate with group corporate functions and markets to deliver accountably on the following:
- Develop and refine brand guidelines, including logo design, colour schemes, typography, and visual elements.
- Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to ensure brand consistency across all channels, including print, digital, and social media and create designs that expresses our brand personality, and message to its target audience.
- Design brand asset templates such as advertisements, brochures and website elements that align with the brand’s identity.
- Create and implement strategies to enhance brand visibility and recognition.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of branding efforts and make recommendations for improvement.
- Promote a diverse and inclusive work environment through the thoughtful application of brand design principles.
- Develop ideas and strategies that demonstrate insight and innovation in addressing business opportunities and challenges by understanding the business case, stakeholder objectives, and commercial context overview.
- Implementing creative execution during the design stages of projects, under the direction of the Group Head.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external communities, including artists and third-party suppliers such as photographers, illustrators, and animators, to ensure the success of all projects, both creatively and commercially.
- Briefing and overseeing production while paying excellent attention to detail and to the brand guidelines
- Being capable of taking responsibility for owning, shaping, developing and delivering creative commercial projects
Technical Skills
- Expertise in design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and colour theory
- Knowledge of digital and print design requirements and best practices
- Familiarity with user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design concepts

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field is typically required.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a brand design role. Experience working with creative strong agencies preferred
- A strong portfolio showcasing a range of brand design work, including brand identity projects
- Continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices are essential for success in this field
