· To assist teachers in conducing class activities.
· To assist teachers in setting up various learning corners in the centre.
· Builds a secure and good learning environment for the children by forming meaningful and trusting relationships with them.
· Responsible for the constant supervision, safety, and well-being of the children
· Shares in the responsibility for implementing stimulating, developmentally appropriate activities that encourage children’s creativity and learning and promote each child’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development
· Participates fully and consistently as a conscientious team member in caring for the children and in the overall operation of the centre; maintains regular and open communication with centre’s team members and all other co-workers
· Must know and implement Centre routines and practices; Childcare Centres Act regulations (MSF Singapore); Code of Ethics (AECES) and the licensing guidelines as stipulated by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA Singapore).
· Attends and participates actively in all centres’ programme, parental or other meetings as required
· Shares responsibility for maintaining programme’s equipment in good repair; assists with toy/equipment disinfecting
· Shares responsibility for maintaining the play environments and storage areas in an organized and clutter-free condition
· Assists the centre management in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by promptly reporting any existing and/or potential workplace hazards
