Job Description:
1. Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the selection, deployment, and maintenance of physical hardware compo-nents, including servers and storage.
- Assist the asset manager in conducting regular inventory checks.
- Leverage in-depth knowledge and experience with VMware and Hyper-V to design, de-ploy, and manage virtualized infrastructure environments.
2. Server Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain server operation system.
- In-stall and maintain essential system software, ensuring proper configuration and functionality, and facilitate user handover.
- Monitor server performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Perform regular system updates and security patches.
- Devel-op and maintain server baseline configurations for various server types (physical, virtual) based on industry best practices and organizational requirements.
3. Backup and Recovery:
- Implement and maintain backup solutions to safeguard data integrity.
- Develop disaster recovery plans and perform regular testing.
4. Documentation:
- Create and update system documentation, including configuration guides, standard op-eration procedure.
- Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets.
5. Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with vendors to procure hardware, software, and services.
- Evaluate and recommend technology solutions to meet business needs.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operation systems.
- Effectively bilingual in English and Chinese so as to communicate effectively with our China counterpart and Chinese-speaking customers.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, MCSE, CCNA) a plus.
