The Sales & Marketing Manager utilizes knowledge of product specifications and applications to drive sales growth. This person develops sales strategies to focus on the lighting systems and be actively engaged with the architects, designers, and the product team throughout all steps in the process to improve lighting solutions.
The Sales & Marketing Manager will stay up to date on market trends and emerging technology, collaborating with the product team and business associates to drive innovation. This person organizes and manages sales administration duties and procedures. The role is to create and maintain a pleasant sales workplace environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, and communication.
The Sales & Marketing Manager reports to Managing Director.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the product team to identify market trends and new product innovation ideas.
- Be well-versed in product presentation, architecture design, lighting agent support and all aspects of project work.
- Establish and maintain relationships with contractors such as designers and architects.
- Engage, train, and assist the sales team on a wide variety of lighting products, solutions, and applications.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external teams to provide pricing, product offering, feature and benefits, application, and design support.
- Work with leadership to develop realistic sales goals and key performance indicators and budgets by markets and with key customers.
- Ensure a quick and proper response to all customer requests.
- Develop strategies for effective new product launches to achieve sales, market penetration, and profitability goals.
- Manage implementation of a wide range of lighting systems and solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, design, lighting, or related studies.
- Minimum of 3 or 5 years of technical sales experience within the lighting industry sectors.
- Strategic planning and execution skills, and self-directed, ability to produce results independently.
- LED experience highly desired or strong relationships in lighting design.
- Already established relationships with architects and designers is an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal communications and sales presentation skills with a strong ability to foster rapport and brand loyalty.
- Efficient written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to connect with technical and non-technical decision-makers.
- Able to communicate clearly and efficiently and respond well to objections.
- Lighting Certification.
- Enthusiasm and an understanding of the significance of building strong relationships.
- Dynamic, self-starter with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership and a positive, goal-oriented attitude.
