We are looking for a Transaction Monitoring Manager who will be responsible for the design, implementation and continued scaling of a Transaction Monitoring program, ensuring that our processes are in compliance with applicable regulatory and policy requirements in a seamless manner while minimising AML risks. You will report to the Compliance Director.

What would be a day @ ABCC look like:-
● Design and Implement a best-in-class Transaction Monitoring program, to comply with policies and regulations
● Conduct proper Transactions Monitoring through the review and analysis of client transaction and blockchain address data and cases to identify potential suspicious activities or patterns, and provide expert advice
● Provide escalation reporting as part of the day-to-day/weekly Risk Committee operations to the relevant stakeholders
● Maintain and update Internal Watchlists and Sanctions Screening lists
● Develop a FIU program, employing a risk and investigative based approach on complex cases to make sure they are/continue to be legitimate & in line with ABCC risk appetite
● Establish Transaction Monitoring standards through the continuous monitoring and testing of the effectivity, relevance and performance of the Transaction Monitoring program and continuously improve it
● Design and Conduct Transaction Monitoring specific training programs to enhance awareness and adherence to compliance policies and regulations
● Own all Transaction Monitoring and Ongoing Monitoring reporting metrics:- Investigation SLAs, Ongoing Rules Effectivity, Complex Typologies, TM Escalations, etc
● Continuously be on the lookout for & implement tools and best practices to improve Transactions Monitoring operational performance
● Prepare and Provide regular updates detailing Transactions Monitoring performance, issues, and recommended actions for the Compliance Director and Senior Leadership
Preferred Qualities:-
● Experience thriving in startup or VUCA environments, showcasing hands-on, sense of ownership, resilience and adaptability in high-growth and fast-paced settings
● Keen sense of learning and just being a passionate Transactions Monitoring SME
- You have worked in a similar position at a Digital Asset Exchange and/or Fintech. Currently working with a Digital Asset Exchange is a plus
- Have 2+ years of proven Transactions Monitoring related experience
● You possess solid knowledge of common Transactions Monitoring terminology, Investigative skills, Case construction, Trends analysis, along with some understanding of emerging trends affecting this area of work
- You have at a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field
- Professional compliance certification (e.g. ICA Certificate or Diploma, ACAMs) is preferred
● You are familiar with the Payment Services Act, Regulations and PSN02
● You are proficient in the use of MerkleScience, Onfido or any other KYT tools (Chainanalysis, TRM Labs), etc
● You have the ability to analyze information, spot patterns and apply logical thinking to identify key issues and articulate ‘keep it simple’ solutions
● You are extremely organized and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize accordingly
● You have good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
