Job description:
- Responsible in supporting all Electrical engineering works for the projects from concept stage, design development, contract documentation, authority submissions, site administration to project completion.
- Lead and manage the team including performance appraisal and manpower planning.
- Prepare scope of work, sub contracts, and customer proposals including Preliminary Design and Tender preparation, submission and Tender Clarification follow up for Electrical works.
- Prepare and monitor project budgets for Electrical works including equipment selection, etc.
- Participate in engineering process to control cost and client budget requirements of project.
- Develop Electrical works’ project schedule and monitor/update as project progresses.
- Perform Testing & Commissioning works.
- Provide technical interpretation of design documents in support of installation (i.e. shop drawings).
- Conduct technical discussion on common design problems and assist in maintaining high quality standards of design and construction.
- Provide specific expertise for problem solving of electrical issues.
- Provide technical evaluation of subcontractor and equipment proposals.
- Monitor and inspect construction to ensure compliance with design documents.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth completion of the project.
- Ensure timely submission of monthly progress claim.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or other equivalent certificates with Design and Build knowledge; able to conduct Engineering Design and Calculation.
- Minimum 5 years’ field experience in Construction project management for Design/Contracting function in Electrical projects in Civil, Structural and Architectural field.
- Strong design & installation knowledge in Electrical, ELV & control systems.
- Have core competency (Design & Engineering Calculation) in Electrical Power Engineering and a good working knowledge on the systems below:
o Power Engineering (HT)
o Lighting
o Lightning Protection System
o FMCS / BMS
o ELV System
- Exposure to cleanroom, industrial electrical & control systems, etc an advantage.
- Candidates with LEW Grade 7 & above an advantage but not a must.
- Familiar with Singapore Standard on Code of Practice for Electrical Installation.
- Sound knowledge in construction policies and procedures, with field experience a must.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and some experience in using ACAD and BIM an advantage.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Highly motivated individuals with the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision and a dedicated team player.
