Roles & Responsibilities
Successful candidate will be actively engaged in research projects relating to engineering enzyme(s) to increase the activity, specificity, solvent tolerance, and stability, developing automation-friendly high-throughput assays to accelerate the enzyme engineering process, and characterizing the enzymes for mechanistic insights. Good knowledge of biochemistry, enzyme engineering, structure-function relationship, molecular biology, and automation are essential to contribute to the overall research objectives.
He/she will provide support in the area of enzyme design, high-throughput assay development and deployment onto automation, automation data standardization and organization.
Requirements
- PhD degree in Protein Engineering, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Chemical engineering, Biotechnology or related fields.
- Candidate with working knowledge of lab automation is preferred.
- Experience with bioinformatics such as structure modelling or docking is preferred.
- Candidate should be dynamic and able to work with multiple teams, with good communications skills
