Consultant Trade Promotion / IT
The Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (SGC) is part of a network of 150 offices of the German bilateral Chambers of Industry and Commerce abroad in 93 countries, and one of the largest national Business Chambers in Singapore with close to 600 members.
We are currently looking for a Consultant for our Trade Promotion Department “DEinternational”, the service and consulting arm of the SGC. The position is full-time and is available immediately.
With its service unit DEinternational, SGC is a primary source for receiving reliable information on the German and Singapore business environment as well as bilateral trade relations. DEinternational provides services such as business partner search, organisation of business missions and business trips, market analysis, market entry services among others. DEinternational works in many areas and industry sectors such as water and wastewater technologies, energy efficiency, e-commerce, civil security technologies, Industry 4.0, and healthcare, just to name a few.
The DEinternational Consultant Trade Promotion / IT is in charge of consulting mostly SMEs and corporate clients and also oversees various IT matters, in close cooperation with our external CIO.
Job scope:
Trade Promotion activities (50%)
· Market research
· Preparation, organisation and management of Business Delegations (country briefings, business matchings etc.)
· Individual business services for SMEs and corporate customers
· Miscellaneous projects in DEinternational department
Oversee IT related matters (50%), such as
· IT infrastructure,
· Client (devices) administration,
· Research and advice on integration of IT platforms used in different departments
· Overview of third-party providers, licences and other contractual relationships in the area of IT
· Liaise with external CIO
· Implementation of new CRM solution
Your Profile:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business and Information Technology
· 2-3 years’ work experience in trade promotion / consulting
· Fluency in verbal and written German and English is essential for the communication with German clients and local counterparts alike
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Excellent writing skills
· Excellent organisation skills
· Resilient and able to work under pressure

· Eager to learn and interested in various industry topics
