As our Financial Accountant, you will…
..maintain accurate company accounts in compliance with legal regulations and internal directives. This involves communicating with tax offices and government authorities, as well as collaborating with auditors to ensure smooth audits and clean audit reports within set deadlines. Additionally, the role entails providing comprehensive financial reporting for the parent company and shareholders, offering clear insights into the organization's financial performance.
Your responsibilities as our Financial Accountant will include:
- accounting for all accounting transactions other than cash treasury operations;
- ensuring timely payment of incoming (supplier) invoices;
- perform invoicing to the company's customers outside of factoring clients;
- handling the asset inventory process;
- organizing the archiving of necessary accounting documents and other documents of the company;
- active cooperation with the tax office, social security authorities, health insurance companies and other relevant institutions;
- preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts and timely reporting to parent company;
- review monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained.
- performance analysis top-down/bottom-up drill through of company performance;
- entering and posting supplier invoices, credit notes, customer invoices;
- preparation and posting of issued invoices;
- implement, document and maintain adequate and effective internal controls;
- implement, document and maintain adequate and effective processes to improve the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely, accurate and meaningful reporting
- preparing documents for reports and audit, including statutory financial statements;
- alerting on suspicious transactions.
What we are looking for in our ideal Financial Accountant
The Financial Accountant will be part of a dynamic Central Finance team that creates and implements policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting issues in addition to creating procedures to make the close and reporting processes more efficient and accurate. We expect the ideal candidate to be:
- A mature personality with exceptional work ethic and conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work.
- Able to analyse, organize, summarize and articulate financial information in a concise and timely manner.
- Able to handle multiple tasks under pressure and work independently and co-operatively within a team.
- With at least 5 years’ professional accounting/auditing experience in similar position.
- Degree in Accounting, ACCA or equivalent.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for financial accounting purposes and prior experience in cloud-based accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
- Possess strong knowledge of accounting legislations in Singapore and Malaysia.
