Are you ready to take on a dynamic leadership role where you can make a meaningful impact? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operations Manager to oversee the coordination, management, and monitoring of various departments within our organisation.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and Manage Departments: Oversee the Business Office department comprising of 3 sub-departments (Specimen Reception, Data Entry, and Client Support Service) to ensure smooth operations and optimal performance.
  2. Financial Management: Plan and control operational budgets to ensure the financial well-being of the company.
  3. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes and policies in alignment with organisational goals to maximise efficiency and output.
  4. Compliance and Policy Development: Monitor adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures, and develop/implement laboratory policies and procedures as necessary.
  5. Goal Setting and Planning: Formulate and implement short and long-term goals for laboratory operations, set priorities, assign responsibilities, and establish timetables.
  6. Project Management: Manage and coordinate the activities of projects, ensuring results in terms of costs, methods, and employee performance.
  7. Reporting and Communication: Prepare non-technical reports, conduct meetings with subordinates, and represent the department/laboratory in interactions with other departments.
  8. Training and Development: Ensure all personnel are properly trained as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide guidance on hiring, training, promotions, and disciplinary issues for non-technical personnel.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in operations management and customer services strategies preferably in a healthcare or laboratory setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage team members.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, with the ability to leverage insights to drive informed decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of financial management principles.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
