Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and Manage Departments: Oversee the Business Office department comprising of 3 sub-departments (Specimen Reception, Data Entry, and Client Support Service) to ensure smooth operations and optimal performance.
- Financial Management: Plan and control operational budgets to ensure the financial well-being of the company.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes and policies in alignment with organisational goals to maximise efficiency and output.
- Compliance and Policy Development: Monitor adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures, and develop/implement laboratory policies and procedures as necessary.
- Goal Setting and Planning: Formulate and implement short and long-term goals for laboratory operations, set priorities, assign responsibilities, and establish timetables.
- Project Management: Manage and coordinate the activities of projects, ensuring results in terms of costs, methods, and employee performance.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare non-technical reports, conduct meetings with subordinates, and represent the department/laboratory in interactions with other departments.
- Training and Development: Ensure all personnel are properly trained as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide guidance on hiring, training, promotions, and disciplinary issues for non-technical personnel.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in operations management and customer services strategies preferably in a healthcare or laboratory setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage team members.
- Proficiency in data analysis, with the ability to leverage insights to drive informed decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of financial management principles.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
