Purpose of the Job:
- Provide children with care, stimulating environment to learn, supervision and guidance during the after school hours and school holidays
- Plan, coordinate and execute programmes during Term and School Holidays
- Help children grow in all aspect of life - emotional, social, physical, intellectual and spiritual
- Ensure the safety, security and well-being of students at all times
- Be a responsible, good role model for the children.
Key Role/Job Function:
- Manage a group of about 20 students (7 – 12 years)
- Ensure students finish school homework (give spelling drills, prepare them for test/examinations – e.g. students do more practices on assessment books, ensure completed exercises in assessment books are marked, ensure corrections done)
- Supervise and guide the student with their school work as well as life skills (play, hygiene and meal time)
- Plan and conduct child appropriate social and recreational activities and holiday programs
- Ensure the safety, security and well-being of students
- Address classroom disciplinary issues and teach expected behaviour using positive behaviour support system
- Prepare/organise and execute/conduct creative learning activities and outings as required
- Support the holistic development of students in alignment with organisation’s goals
- Fetch students from a nearby school to the Centre
- Handle administrative classroom management tasks
- Maintain regular communication with student’s parents
- Foster good working relationship with students, parents, team members and volunteers

- Attend staff meetings, workshops, functions and in-service training provided by PCS
- Take on any other duties as and when assigned by your immediate superior/ management
