About Our Client

Our client is a reputable brand in the retail space who is looking for a highly qualified and experienced professional to fill the role of Regional Head of Physical Distribution and Logistics. As the leader of our regional logistics team, you will play a critical role in optimizing our supply chain processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of products to our customers.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement comprehensive logistics and distribution strategies to optimize regional operations.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align logistics strategies with overall business goals.
  • Lead and motivate a high-performing logistics team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the logistics team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance coordination between production, procurement, and distribution.
  • Develop and manage the logistics budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing cost-effective solutions.
  • Evaluate and implement logistics technologies to streamline processes, enhance visibility, and improve decision-making.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of logistics technology.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • 15 years of experience in a leadership role within logistics, supply chain, or distribution management.
  • Strong understanding of regional and international logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management in the FMCG/ Retail industry.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using logistics and supply chain management software.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
