Job Description
The Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, National University of Singapore (PIs: Asst Prof Joshua Tay, A/Prof Raymond Tsang), is inviting applications for a postdoctoral research fellow. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop novel gene signatures for precision medicine in cancer, inflammation and screening. Our lab utilizes a variety of cutting-edge, unique and highly-specialized techniques to extract genomic information from even the smallest clinical biopsies. These gene signals are then validated as biomarkers to guide patient care. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead genomic projects that impact patient risk-stratification and outcomes.
Qualifications
- PhD in Biosciences related discipline (e.g. genomics, molecular biology, cancer biology etc.)
- Highly motivated, driven and curious
- Strong writing ability and analytical skills
- A good publication track record
- Experience with genomic techniques and bioinformatics will be an advantage, however, guidance can be provided for highly-motivated candidates
