Responsibilities
• Assist the Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager in leading and managing the project on-site and updating of project plan, progress, and final reports needed for the periodic management meetings.
• Prepare costing during the quotation stage, plan and manage project budget including selection and management of sub-contractors.
• Lead the daily vessel safety coordination committee meeting and manage the activities to ensure on-time results and responses to action items including follow-up with other departments, external suppliers, and sub-contractors.
• Coordinate with other department managers to monitor milestones and project deadlines.
• Analyse data and information to recommend and ensure continuous process improvement.
• Monitor compliance of all project manpower, including sub-contractors on the shipyard management system, and achieve the objectives and targets related to quality, occupational health, safety, security, and environment.
• Perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor.
• Ensure compliance to relevant government regulations and company’s quality, safety, health and environmental (QSHE) policies, practices and procedures at all times.
Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in similar capacity and industry with proven track records.
• Excellent communication skills, meticulous, resourceful, able to multi-task.
• A team player with the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Preparedness for overseas assignments.
