PMO Finance Operations Analyst - Public Sector

Roles and Responsibilities


Funding and utilization monitoring and reporting

  • Manage funded IT budgets.
  • Verify, prepare and submit claims on a timely basis.
  • Track IT projects utilization.
  • Work closely with IT PMs to project, prepare and submit cash flow projections.
  • Provide and furnish up to date budget utilisation and balance details.
  • Submit and update monthly utilisation and projection reports. And any other reports requested with respect to IT funding.

Workplan and Budgeting

  • Track IT Projects Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
  • Co-ordinate and consolidate workplan budget submission.
  • Prepare work plan documents for sign off.

IT Projects Finance operations

  • Determine funding activities for projects and assist budgeting process at cluster level.
  • Provide guidance to IT PM with regards to creation of Purchase Requisitions and Project Charters.
  • Invoices processing and verification to ensure billing amount is as per Purchase Order and approved Transfer Pricing (TP) Key
  • Monitor, track closely and work with IT PM on renewal of IT project maintenance.
  • Track budget utilization and process invoices.
  • Support cluster Business Finance to ensure timely reporting, analysis of data, reviews and checks on TPK where applicable.
  • Undertake any requests as directed by the IT Lead and Team Lead of the staff in alignment with institution objectives and goals.

Requirements / Qualifications


1. Diploma/Degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent.

2. Minimum 5-6 years of relevant Business Finance working experience in Accounting/Finance.

3. Strong proficiency in MS Office – Word, Powerpoint and Excel, especially with formulas like pivot tables, vlookup, dropdown list, sumif formulas, etc.

4. Experience in SAP FICO, MM and ITBM (including generating and analysing finance data) is an added advantage.

5. Ability to handle ambiguity work environment.
