The IMS (Indirect Material & Services) Procurement Manager supports the entire Symrise operations in APAC with alignment to both divisions both S&C and F&B on Procurement matters & activities. In this role, it is expected to lead the Singapore Indirect Procurement team as well as teams located elsewhere in APAC to address all Singapore issues & initiatives relating to supplier qualifications, specifications, certifications & performance as well as indirect materials & services costs that contributes to the indirect procurement goals to be achieved. You will collaborate closely with various key stakeholders to develop & lead APAC Indirect Procurement initiatives to make a real impact.
The Position:
- Leading procurement activities on non-raw/non-input materials such as Utilities, Packaging & Consumables etc, Services such as Warehousing, Logistics, Instruments, Equipments, Facility Servicing, Lab Supplies etc as well as 3rd party services such as agencies, IT asset providers and travel partners.
- Lead the Singapore Indirect Procurement team as well as teams located elsewhere in the countries to
- (a): Support Singapore Operations teams, by ensuring of supply of indirect materials & services to approved specifications, standards, and at best TCO, while adhering to company strict business ethics & integrity, own and address all Singapore issues and initiatives relating to supplier qualifications, specifications, certifications, and performance as well as indirect materials & services costs.
- (b): Contribute to meet/exceed Indirect Procurement Goals on Financial Targets, through cost savings/avoidance and increasing DPO as well as Sustainability through Sustainability Sourcing.
- Develop and lead APAC Indirect Procurement Initiatives with inputs from APAC Country Indirect Procurement Leads to contribute to Procurement Goals.
- Lead Singapore & APAC Indirect Procurement team by training, coaching, and guiding as necessary to allow a dynamic and enviable working environment & teamwork within the teams.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree with post-graduate qualification such as CPSM certification is an added advantage.
- Possess 10 years of successful track record in Procurement, with team lead exposure (with direct reports) with experience in collaborating in a matrix working multi-national environment.
- Effective strong communications (Written & Verbal) as well as Interpersonal/Influential skills with a strong command of English too.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (Excel Advanced) and SAP system (Purchasing Module).
- Self-Starter, ability to multi-task and manage work pressures.
- Possess a strong team player, with situational leadership knowledge and capacity to negotiate and resolve conflicts.
- Analytical, creative, and decisive in problem solving to yield optimal and pragmatic solutions.
