Assistant Head, Office of Grants Administration (OGA), National Robotics Programme Office (NRPO)

We are looking for a highly independent and detail oriented individual to administer the grants awarded under the National Robotics Programme (NRP). This role will be forward deployed to the Office of Grants Administration (OGA).

An Officer in this role will:

  • Work with NRP management and project officers to organize and administer the end-to-end grant administration processes, from pre to post-award documentation and mounting the projects online on the grant management system.
  • Provide oversight and management of the projects, including ensuring changes or updates to grant terms & conditions or guidelines are communicated to the grantees and put into effect according to the stipulated implementation timelines.
  • Coordinate and prepare accurate and timely reports to internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with the grantees and act as a liaison between the research teams, host institutions, industry partners and stakeholders
  • Monitor and track the progress, timeline, and budget of projects, including submissions and variation requests and providing assessment on the eligibility of such requests based on grant guidelines, as well as assisting to resolve issues and challenges related to the projects
  • Organise and coordinate events related to the management of the projects such as review meetings and workshops
  • Perform any other relevant secretariat and related duties as required

Requirements

  • Degree with a minimum of 5 years' R&D project management experience or grant management experience or equivalent
  • Knowledge and understanding of engineering terms related to robotics, mechanical or electronics engineering would be helpful to appreciate the project submissions, but not a must.
  • Prior experience in grant administration or have managed grants at a larger programme level with exposure to NRF or RIE funding will be highly advantageous
  • Strong organizing, planning and analytical skills. Tableau experience will be a plus.
  • Meticulous and detail oriented.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Independent and a strong team player
  • Ability to thrive in complex situations and manage conflicting information amongst the stakeholders to make a sound and objective assessment and provide recommendations to resolve issues in grant administration.
  • Willingness to learn, with adaptability and flexibility to take on required/necessary tasks beyond the job description
