Responsibilities
Technical Closing Operations
- Perform closing checks for Baseline and IFRS17
- Prepare Assistance Entries and enter into OMEGA for Baseline, IFRS17 and Local GAAP
- Assist in the preparation of Quarterly Landing Report
- Assist in preparation and updating of excel files for Reporting and ICS
- Assist in any other tasks assigned by the Manager
- Potentially lend support to other closing operations
Relationships:
- Work closely with Retrocession managers, Technical Accountants, Reserving and Finance teams during quarterly closing
Contribute to process and quality improvement
- Work with colleagues to continually seek ways of improving work methods and processes
- Gather, investigate and analyse relevant data via root cause problem solving to support and evaluate suggested improvements and/or modifications
- Agree, implement and evaluate improvements as necessary
Experience:
- 2 to 5 years of relevant working experience in Insurance/Reinsurance fields
- Understanding of P&C (re)insurance business is preferred
Personal Competences:
- Good interpersonal and communication skills in English
- Absolute integrity and discretion in handling matter of confidentiality
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
- Self motivated and pro-active
- Good analytical skills
- Well verse in MS office (especially MS Excel)
- Team player
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline
Education requirement:
- Diploma/ Degree in Accounting and Finance
