Wealth and Personal Banking is our new global business combining Retail Banking and Wealth Management; and Global Private Banking, to become one of the world’s largest global wealth managers with USD1.4 trillion in assets. We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Customer Service Associate (Bank teller).
Principal Responsibilities
- Ensure that operational procedures are maintained and complied withBy maintaining HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
By assisting customers with their transactions (not limiting to the following):-Cash withdrawal/deposits/ transfers/ bulk cash (SGD/FCY)
Collection/ release of security items
Process customers’ banking services instructions
Handle group emergency withdrawal
Perform cash balancing duties
By executing all backend tasks in a timely manner. Scope of work (not limiting to the following):-Perform e-enclosure duties, sort and dispatch mail
Perform faxswitch duties
Perform sorting and batching of cheques for clearing
Handle customers’ banking services instructions
Perform daily balancing of security items
Perform housekeeping of branch and safe deposit box documents
Provide support in handling internal operational duties (including maintaining safe deposit box administrative duties)
By assisting customers on safe deposit services (not limiting to the following):-Opening/closing of accounts
Accessing the lockers
Support routine task of handling customer enquiries in an effective manner using knowledge of established policies and procedures.
Deliver quality service to both internal and external customers
By ensuring that the service principles and standards are follow to meet the service benchmark
By providing solutions to meet customers’ enquiries promptly and efficiently, within reasonable timeline
By encouraging feedback from customers as part of continuous improvement process

By executing transactions accurately and timely to prevent any error resulting with losses
Qualifications
- Holder of GCE O Levels or Higher NITEC qualification
- Relevant customer service experience in a financial institution
- Customer-oriented with strong interpersonal and communications skills
- A team player who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic retail banking environment
- A self-starter who can work independently and under minimal supervision
- Good command of spoken and written English
