- Arrive promptly at lessons and dismiss students at the correct times.
- Keep checks on students’ attendance at lessons (during Home-Based Learning Sessions) and follow up absences as appropriate.
- Work closely with the Form Teacher on matters concerning and relating to individual students’ subject performance.
- Plan and prepare lesson materials and follow the Subject Team’s SOW/ syllabus.
- Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students' progress.
- Keep appropriate, accurate and complete individual student records as required.
- Work with the Subject Head in the development, evaluation and revision of subject syllabus and team initiatives
- Collaborate with other teachers in the development, evaluation, and revision of subject syllabus and team initiatives.
- Prepare and submit reports on students as and when required.
- Provide constructive oral and written feedback and setting targets for students’ progress during Parent-Teacher-Child Conferences, Case Conferences at school, or as and when feedback is needed or required.
- Post timely and daily update on Google Classroom
- Organize and take part in school events, outings and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening if necessary.
- Keep up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum through continuous professional development.
- Conduct research on effective classroom strategies, pedagogy, and other teaching tools to improve student performance and achievement.
