Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage block storage solutions
- Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of block storage infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve block storage-related issues
- Automate storage deployment, provisioning, and routine tasks
- Conduct regular performance testing and capacity planning for block storage systems
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate block storage solutions into the overall infrastructure
- Provide secondary support for file and object storage systems
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in block, file, and object storage technologies
- Provide on-call coverage and L3 support
Qualifications
- Proven experience with block storage technologies (Dell PowerMax, SRDF/Metro, Purestorage, Cisco MDS switches)
- Experience with file (Isilon and NetApp) or object storage technologies (Dell ECS) is a plus.
- Scripting and automation (shell scripting, python, ansible) skills strongly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex storage issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to stay updated with the latest advancements in storage technologies
