- Prepare and cook South Indian Udupi style foods of all types, on a regular basis.
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation
- Determine production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of services.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation.
- Collaborate with other personnel to plan and develop recipes and menus, taking into account such factors as seasonal availability of ingredients and the likely number of customers.
- Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
- Check the quantity and quality of received products.
- Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff.
- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.
- Instruct cooks and other workers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
- Train and instruct cooks and workers in proper food preparation procedures.
- Wash, peel, cut, and seed vegetables.
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients, season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment.
- To Maintain the Quality and Hygiene of the food and also the Kitchen area.
- Must have minimum 2 years of working experience in Udupi Karnataka Style South Indian Restaurant.
- Able to prioritise orders and know how to run a functioning kitchen
- Capable of handling Kitchen staff.
- Should have good knowledge of Udupi Karnataka South Indian Food recipes, ingredients.
