Castlery is looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Senior Analyst to join our Finance Department.
We are seeking an experienced and self-driven FP&A Senior Analyst to navigate the complexities of financial operations and projects within our dynamic environment. The role will work closely with senior stakeholders across the group to shape and define Castlery's financial strategy.
The ideal candidate will not only be an expert in identifying and modelling key business drivers but will also be an influencer, capable of garnering buy-in from executive to departmental levels, ensuring that our strategic financial planning aligns with business objectives and delivers tangible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting and Analysis:
- Collaborate with the Accounting team to streamline month-end closing and enhance reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial policies while upholding data integrity.
- Develop monthly management reports including detailed profitability analyses and business insights across various markets, channels, and products, offering clear explanations of variances to aid in performance enhancement and support stakeholders in data-driven decision-making.
- Perform ad-hoc forward-looking analysis such as project evaluation and benchmarking, delivering insights for strategic initiatives and operational improvement.
Planning and Business Partnering:
- Conduct thorough identification and analysis of key business drivers, incorporating risk assessments and market fluctuations to ensure precision in strategic financial forecasting.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration in the financial budgeting and forecasting process, challenging validity of assumptions.
- Serve as a strategic partner, challenging the status quo to enhance operations and financial outcomes to drive efficiency, while also guiding critical decision-making processes.
- Synthesise complex financial information and deliver clear, impactful financial presentations for reviews and stakeholder meetings.
- Review and track the progress of initiatives against strategic targets, ensuring that the organization stays on course to meet its objectives.
- Lead initiatives to optimise finance processes, harnessing BI tools to enhance data effectiveness and transparency, thereby streamlining efficiency across financial operations.
What You’ll Need:
Educational and Professional Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Finance, with professional accreditation (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) advantageous.
- Minimum of 4 years of FP&A experience, preferable at least 4 years from a private company setting includuing experience from a big 4 auditor.
Industry Experience
- Experience with US and Australian business operations within Retail, E-commerce, B2C, and/or Logistics sectors would be advantageous.
Technical Skills and Personal Attributes
- Demonstrate proficiency in managing large data volumes and using analytical skills to inform strategic financial decisions, while considering the wider business context.
- Must have expertise in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Netsuite) and proficiency with BI tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI) for comprehensive data management and analysis.
- Exhibit strong communication skills for clear financial explanations to business leaders and robust stakeholder management.
- Collaborative team player within the finance department and in cross-functional teams, fostering a cooperative and productive workplace.
- Self-motivated and able to excel independently in a fast-paced business setting.
