You will be expected to be a people and engineering leader. Leading a team to achieve the organization's operational goals in production, you will be responsible for coaching, deploying, and maturing operational practices.
Responsibilities:
- Focus on developing the strength, stability, and resilience of Operations Management leadership at the Cell Leader and Line Leader levels. By emphasizing People, Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery, you’ll drive consistent and predictable operational results.
- Champion Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance across value streams. Your personal commitment to HSE as the top priority will empower a culture of improvement.
- Cascade operational metrics down the organization, ensuring accountability for results. These metrics include Lost Time Injury, Total Recordable Injury, Build Plan achievement, launch cadence, completion cadence, WIP optimization, expense control, attendance, productivity, earned hours, overtime, Total Productive Maintenance, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
- Responsible for tactical and strategic aspects of Operations Management. This includes headcount planning, skillset determination, hiring, learning curve acceleration, people development, business continuity, and succession planning. By engaging with shop employees, coaching Cell Leaders, and addressing communication, performance, and team-related issues, you’ll enhance overall engagement and resolution.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Business Management or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of Operations Management experience, overseeing a diverse team in a fast-paced shop environment of moderate complexity.
- Effective leadership characterized by results focus, strong planning, execution abilities, drive, courage, resilience, and a hands-on approach.
- Business acumen in understanding operational performance.
