It is a Leader in the Engineering and Construction of Single Point Mooring Systems for FPSO, FSO, FLNG, FSRU and Marine Terminals. It began as Specialized Offshore Facilities and Engineered Components to serve the requirements of the Offshore Oil Industry by providing facilities for mooring and loading/offloading tankers. Since then, it has completed over 100 projects in most areas of the world and has developed a sophisticated technology base which has expanded its market place from import/export terminals, to include advanced permanent mooring stations for floating production and storage facilities and a significant presence in the U.S. Military market.

General Manager | Role
General Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the company, improving efficiency, and increasing departmental profits. The role will manage several elements of a business, including hiring staff, operating budgets, and launching price promotions that could attract more customers.
Job brief
We are looking for a General Manager to oversee all staff, budgets and operations of the local & regionalbusiness units.
Main responsibilities include

Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations
- Design strategy and set goals for growth
- Maintain budgets and optimize expenses
- Set policies and processes
- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
- Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
- Direct the employee assessment process
- Prepare regular reports for upper management
- Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
- Provide solutions to issues (e.g., profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
· Provide guidance to the assigned Operation Managers in execution planning and delivery of required scope of work within time and budget.
· Develop and keep the pre-operational philosophy and standards up to date, ensuring lessons learnt are captured and the new units are delivered in high standards of quality favoring lifecycle efficiency and safety.
· Foster innovation and continuous cost-driven improvement among all business chain.
· Physically fit| no serious kind of health issues
· Travel as per company’s business requirements
Requirements
- BSc/BA in Business, Technical or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
- Singaporeans are mainly welcome to apply as the client does not have quotas for the foreign expertise
- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role for more than 9 years
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in marine or Oil & Gas Industry with offshore construction experience preferred
· Project management professional certification would be a plus
- Industry expertise
- Language Proficiencies in English & Chinese as he/ she needs to communicate with the Chinese speaking clients, stakeholders, vendors and staffs
- Experience in planning and budgeting
- Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
- Strong analytical ability
· Familiarity with relevant industry specified ISO system & IACS rules and regulations on offshore construction projects
· Knowledge of surveys, documentation, best practices, rules and regulations
- Willing to travel as per company’s business requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English & fluent in one or two local languages would be advantageous
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
