Job Scope & Responsibility:

  • Develops and implements learning curriculum and content that is consistent with current trends and best practices adhering to Effective Employment Skills and Employment Plans
  • accordance to therapeutic needs. Support, implement and evaluate employment-related development initiatives.
  • Work with individuals/group who face physical, developmental, emotional, or cognitive challenges. Assess the strength of individuals and facilitates learning solutions, preparing plans according to special needs learning theory and providing a high-impact, interactive environment and providing environmental modification if necessary.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their goals and ambitions.
  • Assist clients to discover and overcome their personal barriers to achieve planned outcome
  • Collaborates with programmes team to assess, design, develop and maintain high quality of training programmes.
  • Responsible for ongoing development, researching training standards and best practices
  • Coordinate resources and logistic for therapy and training.
  • Guide clients in learning to complete job task
  • Assist client in developing social and life skills.
  • Provide advise on workplace accommodations for people with disabilities.
  • Ensure proper documentation, monitoring and evaluating/assessment and recommendations of programmes and client progress.
  • Support all staff, departments and ad hoc events and activities as and when needed.


Requirements

  • Recognized Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • Qualified as Full-Registered Therapist under the Allied Health Professional Act
  • At least 2 years of experience
  • Passionate in working with persons with disabilities
  • Passionate about inclusionary practice and implementation of intervention strategies
  • Good communicator and possess good interpersonal skills
  • Have initiative and able to work independently and yet be a good team player
