Job Description
The successful candidate will work with Dr WEI Jiangbo on Investigating the mechanism and functional relevance of RNA modification in regulating chromatin state and gene expression in human diseases under a project on Crosstalk between epitranscriptomics and other cellular pathways in gene regulation.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Carry out cell biology-related experiments as necessary.
- Conduct basic bioinformatics analysis for the candidate's project, as well as for the projects of other trainees in the laboratory, under the instruction of PI.
- Provide assistance and support to junior PhD students in their research projects.
- Participate in group meetings and seminars.
- Report duty to PI.
Qualifications
- Qualifications / Discipline: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology or related disciplines.
- Skills:
Bench skills associated with biochemistry and molecular biology, and cell biology, including but not limited to molecular cloning, immunoblots, RT-qPCR, cell culture, cell transfection, gel electrophoresis, immunofluorescence imaging, genetic cloning, CRISPR, etc
- Experience:
Hold a PhD degree or expected to be graduated soon in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology or related disciplines. Have published (or at least submitted) peer-reviewed papers as the first author in high-impact journals.
