Accounts Receivable – Snr Exec / Assistant Mgr
Overview:
· Oversee all Account Receivables (aka Membership & Events Finance), including Sales, Events and Membership Finance functions.
· Manage a junior team member, providing guidance and support as needed.
· Verify and ensure Members' accounts are up-to-date and accurate, and that queries and issues are managed and dealt with, with a high degree of service-orientation.
Other responsibilities:
· Control & Month-end
o Maintain month-end and periodic reconciliations and checks of AR balances.
o Investigate and resolve discrepancies with the broader teams.
o Ensure all month-end closing activities are completed on time.
o Prepare and post AR-related General Ledger accounting entries.
o Prepare quarterly balance sheet schedules.
o Assist with year-end audits.
o Ensure adequate controls maintained around physical cash.
o Reconcile accounting systems with other operational systems.
· Analysis & Insight
o Perform income analysis for F&B & Spa sales.
o Monitor aging and chase outstanding debts through email, WhatsApp, or phone calls.
o Prepare and lead monthly aged debt reports and follow up to reduce outstanding debts with internal team.
o Support in new company projects and initiatives as required.
o Provide suggestions for accounting system upgrades and improvements to enhance efficiency and automation.
o Partner with different stakeholders to work on projects together and work together to ensure smooth operations for project in all aspects including finance.
o Prepare financial analysis and reports as needed by management / month-end routine.
o Undertake any other ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements
· Degree or other similar qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· Proven experience in a similar role, with a minimum of 2 years in accounting and finance.
· Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
· Some experience with accounting software required.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Proactivity a must.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
