WAREHOUSE CUM E-COMMERCE FULFILLMENT OFFICER

job Scope:

As a Warehouse cum E-commerce Fulfillment Officer, your role will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring efficient warehouse operations and seamless e-commerce order fulfillment. You will play a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory levels, processing orders, and ensuring timely delivery to customers. Your responsibilities will span both physical warehouse management and online order processing, requiring a combination of organizational, logistical, and technical skills.

Warehouse Management:

  1. Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations. Regularly update inventory records and systems to reflect accurate stock quantities.
  2. Receiving and Inspection: Oversee the receiving process for incoming shipments. Inspect and verify the quality and quantity of items received, resolving discrepancies as needed.
  3. Storage and Organization: Ensure proper storage and organization of products within the warehouse. Implement effective labeling and categorization systems for easy retrieval.
  4. Stock Rotation: Implement a first-in, first-out (FIFO) system to minimize product expiration and obsolescence. Rotate stock as needed to maintain freshness.
  5. Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Address any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.

E-commerce Order Fulfillment:

  1. Order Processing: Process incoming e-commerce orders accurately and promptly. Pick products from the warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
  2. Packing: Carefully pack products for shipment, ensuring that they are well-protected and presented neatly. Select appropriate packaging materials based on the nature of the products.
  3. Quality Check: Perform quality checks on products before they are packaged, ensuring they meet the defined quality standards.
  4. Documentation: Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and other necessary documentation for each order. Ensure that all required information is accurate and complete.
  5. Shipping Coordination: Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries. Monitor shipments to ensure they are on track and resolve any delivery issues that may arise.

E-commerce Platform Management:

  1. Online Inventory Update: Regularly update the e-commerce platform with accurate product availability information to prevent customers from ordering out-of-stock items.
  2. Order Tracking: Update order status and tracking information on the e-commerce platform to keep customers informed about the progress of their orders.
  3. Customer Communication: Respond to customer inquiries related to order status, shipping, and product availability. Provide excellent customer service to address any concerns or questions.

Reporting:

  1. Inventory Reports: Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, slow-moving items, and opportunities for improvement in inventory management.
  2. Fulfillment Metrics: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to order processing, shipping accuracy, and delivery times. Identify areas for enhancement and implement solutions.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with other departments such as Customer Service, Sales, and Logistics to ensure seamless communication and alignment of operations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
  • Proven experience in warehouse management and e-commerce order fulfillment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and e-commerce platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities effectively.
