The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.
Key Responsibilities:
- To lead and manage onsite monitoring program, with responsibilities includes, but not limited to, onsite operation, sampling and analysis, reporting etc.
- Oversee the monitoring site, carry out routine instrument maintenance and calibration.
- Be familiar with data processing to develop standard N2O measurement protocols.
- Assist in wastewater and GHG related modelling work.
- Liaise with funding agency and collaborators, prepare reports and meeting presentations.
- Help to supervise graduate students and contribute to proposal writing.
Job Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other related fields
- Prior experience in wastewater treatment operation, as well as skills to work independently in an outdoor environment is highly favorable.
- Experience in onsite hands-on work and reactor operations.
- Prior experience in wastewater-related modelling work will be preferred.
- Project management and data analytic skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
