About the Department
The Senior Commercial Manager role is part of the Commercial Affairs & Strategy (CAS) Team, based in our BASEA (Business Area South-East Asia) unit in Singapore. The CAS Team is an ambitious, creative, and inclusive team that supports the needs of our diverse markets in driving commercial success, business transformation, and future growth for better patient health. CAS functional responsibilities include commercial/marketing, market access and public affairs, customer engagement, commercial excellence, and sustainability. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Commercial Affairs & Strategy for BASEA in a permanent full-time capacity.
The Position
In this role, you will be accountable for building diabetes market understanding and generating insights for strategic and tactical decision-making across our diabetes portfolio, with a focus on the GLP1 receptor agonists. You will form strong partnerships with the different affiliate teams to ensure their commercial success, supporting business transformation efforts and ensuring commercial excellence and strategic focus.
Specific duties include, but not limited to:
• Identify opportunities for growth and executing them at the affiliate level with a portfolio mindset.
• Support local brand planning and tactical execution, including building a strong insight base to improve data-driven decision making.
• Support potential pre-launch and launch activities, maximizing commercial success by being an expert in Diabetes, acting as a key partner in the development of launch plans, and working closely with affiliates, the Business Area office, and Asia Pacific (APAC) to define strategic focus.
• Drive superior customer engagement and experience, developing content that aligns with our strategy and is valued and impactful for healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients, in both digital and traditional channels.
• Align opportunities, challenges, and priorities of affiliates with global marketing, Internal Operations (IO), and APAC, while working closely with various stakeholders in affiliates, APAC region, IO, and Headquarters (HQ). And manage relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL), agencies, events, and management consulting companies in the execution and management of marketing projects.
Qualifications
· A minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Science, or Business Management-related discipline. A master's qualification is preferred.
· At least 8 years of overall professional experience, including 3-5 years of experience in brand management within the pharmaceutical, medical devices, consumer health, or life science industries – combination of such is a plus. The ideal candidate will also hold pharmaceutical sales experience.
· Outstanding interpersonal and project management skills with a proven track record in managing external and internal stakeholders.
· Excellent command of written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively across a diverse audience.
· Willingness to travel within the BASEA region.
