The scope of a BIM (Building Information Modeling) Manager typically encompasses a range of responsibilities related to the implementation and management of BIM processes throughout a construction project. The specific scope may vary depending on the organization and project requirements.
BIM Manager
Job Responsibilities:
1. Developing and overseeing the BIM/VDC/IDD implementation strategy for the organization or project includes defining BIM goals, objectives, and standards, as well as establishing protocols for BIM collaboration and coordination.
2. Lead a team of BIM coordinators/modelers for all disciplines including Architecture, Civil Structural, Mechanical & Electrical and BIM specialists.
3. Collaborating with project stakeholders to determine BIM requirements and developing a comprehensive BIM execution plan (BEP), maintain and update.
4. Developing and maintaining BIM standards, protocols, and workflows.
5. Setting up, maintain and manage the Project’s Common Data Environment (CDE) and folders/ filing structure.
6. Facilitating effective collaboration among project team members, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure proper integration and coordination of BIM models and data.
7. Ensuring the integrity and quality of BIM models throughout the project lifecycle. Adhering to the latest industry standards.
8. Manage and distribute project construction phase for submittals, construction models, shop drawings and schedules.
9. Prepare, manage, monitor, track and update the clash detection analysis reports, model changes records and 3D coordination schedule.
10. Establishing data management strategies to effectively capture, organize, and maintain project information within the BIM environment.
11. Providing training and support to project team members on BIM software tools, processes, and standards.
12. Monitoring and evaluating the performance and effectiveness of BIM processes and workflows.
13. Report and present progress and status about BIM implementation and BIM-related submission by the contractor.
14. Engage project team members to innovate and leverage advanced digital/BIM tools and methodology to improve quality, productivity, and project delivery.
15. Participate in all necessary BIM meetings facilitated by the Interfacing Parties to provide necessary support and information for interfacing contracts’ BEP development and 3D Coordination works.
16. Oversee, coordinate, and manage the BIM Coordinators to meet all BIM deliverables submissions and information exchange schedules.
Requirements:
1. Diploma/Degree in Structural/Architecture/Engineering/Construction/MEP or equivalent.
2. Minimally 5 years’ experience in BIM Modeling work in building construction and project execution.
3. Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks.
4. Keen to lead and manage BIM and Digital development.
5. Aware of relevant regulations and Singapore authority submissions.
6. Strong ability to lead the BIM team and work under pressure.
7. Certificate in BIM Management / VDC will be an advantage.
8. Knowledge of 4D, 5D and 6D will be an added advantage.
9. Experience in LTA / MRT projects is advantageous.
10. Strong analytical skills and technical knowledge in BIM management as well as construction management will be an advantage for this post.

12. Having a positive attitude and proactive mindset.
13. Adaptable to working both independently and as a team player, with the ability to work under pressure and meet submission deadlines.
