Responsibilities
- Managing of warehouses, space & warehouse staff
- Ensure compliance of legal, customs & industry certifications/standards requirements including bonded & licensed warehousing, material handling, shipping requirements & safety aspects.
- Study existing and adhere with new legislation and advising management on needed actions.
- Drives warehouse operations of material handling, customer service and records keeping.
- Ensures that receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations are well coordinated
- Interfaces with customer/ internal to plan workflow, changes, improvement programs & resolve issues.
- Establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Conducting physical counts when applicable; reconciling with data storage system.
- Plan and implement new design layouts of warehouse and open yard;
- Inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Submission of billing instructions & verification of claims & costs.
- Preparation of annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; corrective actions.
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintains staff performance by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Attending educational workshops; reviewing publications; establishing personal networks
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results/projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Logistic/Supply Chain Mgmt
- Min 5 years operation experience in logistics or supply chain management industry
- Ability to develop business relationships within all levels of organizations
- Demonstrated success in leading, motivating and developing individuals and high-performance teams
- Proficient in MS Office and other relevant applications
