Job Description
A Research Fellow (RF) position is available at the National University of Singapore.
The RF will contribute to the development and implementation of statistical analyses within different projects in the field of Medical Statistics and Biostatistics, involving data from large heterogeneous cohorts such as GUSTO and S-PRESTO (more info at https://www.gusto.sg/ and https://www.s-presto.sg/). The projects are developed in close collaborations with researchers from A*STAR Singapore Institute for Clinical Sciences and NUS working in different scientific areas, such as metabolomics and neuroscience, contributing to the interdisciplinary environment of the Institute. As such, excellent scientific communication skills are highly desirable. The RF will be asked to perform both routine and advanced statistical analyses, often characterized by a strong computational aspect.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, longitudinal data analysis, graphical models, high-dimensional data analysis and Bayesian statistics. The candidate will work closely with Dr. Andrea Cremaschi, a Senior Researcher in SICS, as well as collaborate with other researchers in A*STAR and NUS.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold or be close to submitting a PhD in Statistics or a related field such as Biostatistics, Mathematics or Computer Science, with a documented competence in Statistics and/or Biostatistics.
Knowledge of programming in R and other coding languages commonly used in Statistics such as C++/Python.
