Reporting to a Section Leader, the successful candidate will provide everyday oversight in husbandry of a variety of laboratory animals and their environment. The successful candidate will receive training in the best husbandry practices and will be expected to implement this. In addition, he/she will assist the scientific staff which will include daily observations and recordings; and working with the Veterinarians in monitoring colony health. He/she is also encouraged to work for further qualifications in laboratory animal sciences.
Requirements:
- Diploma in scientific subjects such as General Biology, Veterinary or Laboratory Animal Science
- Preferably with at least 1 year of experience working with laboratory animals
- Training will be provided for candidate without prior experience
- Good team player and communication skills
- Good computer skills in Microsoft Words, Excel and Outlook)
- Able to work on weekends
