MODULE COW/PUNCH VERIFICATION INSPECTOR

Responsibilities:

  • Applying the requirements of the Site Quality Plan in its area/ specific discipline and controlling the quality of Works performed
  • Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation activities on site.
    Ensure the full implementation of Project Quality Plan under civil work phase
  • Ensure compliance to Client specifications for fabrication, construction and pre-commissioning where required
  • Orderly collect, check and manage documents certifying tests, controls and inspections carried out witnessing the tests, controls and inspections carried out
  • Develop Quality Control Work Progress Reports
  • Checking that the Subcontractor Quality team performs each of its activities taking into account the specific quality requirements.
  • Getting from each Subcontractor all certificates and inspection records requested
  • Verifying that the documents are complete, and initiating the corrective actions if required
  • Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan according to Client’s requirements
  • Ensure inspection and test equipment is serviceable, with in calibration period and personnel are knowledgeable in its use
  • Ensure blast medium and coating materials conform to project specifications
  • Ensure surface preparation blast profile/cleanliness meet requirements,
  • Monitor wet film thickness during application and application technique.
  • Ensure ambient conditions are acceptable for required process output.
  • Monitor dry film thickness and re-coating intervals.
  • Ensure any identification marks or tags removed or over coated are replaced.
  • After the full curing activity conduct visual inspection and specified non-destructive and destructive tests.
  • Prepare daily reports on the work in progress.
  • Carry out any other duties as and when required by the supervisor.
  • Responsible for timely inspection during fabrication and construction, proactive in the prevention of non-compliance and problem resolution.
  • Witness and monitor contractors welding activities, inspection and test in accordance with the approved Quality Plan, ITP, Quality Procedures and etc.
  • Promote quality awareness throughout the organization, emphasizing excellence, continuous improvement and corrective action to influence the overall success of company business.
  • Assist review of company Quality Plan, Inspection &Test Plan (ITP) and Quality Procedures and all pertained QA/QC documentation prior to commencement of any fabrication / construction work.
  • Ensure testing, measuring, welding, NDE equipment is fully calibrated per specification and has current certification.

  • Supervision of erection of pipe spools and pipe supports according to drawings
  • Responsible for planned progress schedule and maintain quality and safety
  • Daily and weekly reports of site progress in line with project schedule
  • Will report to the Quality Supervisor and handle all jobs independently

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of work experience in Oil & Gas construction sites
  • Experienced in hydro tests
  • Knowledge in piping and mechanical works, structural fabrication
  • Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Mechanical EngineeringCSWIP, AWS, HNC, HND, or NVQ certification.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Advanced knowledge of TIG, MIG, laser, butt, and arc welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Observant and analytical.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices.

Location:

  • Jurong Island

Duration:

  • 60 hours per week (6 days work-week)
  • 1 year contract, renewable
