About The Team
You are part of the AML Risk Operations Team. The AML Risk Operations team is in charge of all AML related checks and ensures that the AML risk of the company is under control.
Within that team, the AML Quality Control & Testing team is in charge of quality control, testing, processes, and AML systems administration. You lead the Quality Control team.
About The Role
You will lead a team to make sure that our AML processes & governance are up to standard, continuously improving, and ready for expansion. You are also responsible for stress-testing existing rules & implementing new rules, as well as proper AML training of teams.
- Lead a team of analysts to analyse and improve quality of front-to-back risk operations processes
- Drive comprehensive assessments of existing AML, KYC and onboarding operations to identify and resolve bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and gaps
- Be responsible for the quality, good governance, and continuous improvement of our AML operations
- Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (from Commercial, Operations, Product etc) to proactively drive improvements
- Develop and implement strategies for process improvement, focusing on streamlining operations, reducing errors, improving SLAs, and enhancing customer experience.
- Establish and maintain robust quality assurance processes and metrics for AML and onboarding activities.
- Monitor and audit processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Provide training and guidance to AML and onboarding teams to ensure staff are well-equipped to follow revised processes and procedures.
- Foster a culture of quality and compliance within the organization.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, prepare reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory bodies as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in Quality Control / Assurance in the AML space
- Strong understanding of AML policies for financial institutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Ability to operate with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and collaborative environment
- Proactiveness in driving change and willingness to roll-up sleeves and get things done
- Passion for the fintech industry and a cultural fit with start-up mindset
