- Assist Funeral Director
- End of life Funeral care work including but not limiting to assisting with departures, liaising with family members, funeral and related management.
- Pleasant personality with good grooming
- Independent in carrying out individual roles, but a team player when it comes to working with colleagues
- Must be customer-oriented
- Ability to speak in English and Mandarin (dialects are bonuses)
- Class 3 / 4 driving license given higher priority
- Project a positive and professional image for service excellence
- Collect accurate and detailed information from clients for funeral arrangements
- Provide decedent care
- Transfer and sending of departed
- Place caskets in parlour or wake area to funeral
- Transport backdrop and other logistics required for the set up of wakes
- Arrange floral offerings or lights around caskets
- Support with manual handling of caskets and the departed
- Perform a variety of tasks during funerals to assist funeral directors and ensure that services run smoothly as planned
- Conduct visitation throughout the wake duration
- Assist family with ash collection
- Explain the flow of events to clients clearly
- Be an emcee for funerals, seminars and workshops by ensuring every event agenda flows as smoothly as possible
- Be a supportive figure for clients and their families; assisting with family visits, answering any queries and making sure relevant colleagues are made aware of clients’ needs
- Understand and carry out the wishes or plans of clients with excellence
- Possess good knowledge of company products & services
- Possess good knowledge of various religious bAssistant Funeral Director $2.5k - $3k depending on experience
