Key Responsibilities
JD - PRIMARY PURPOSE
Physical VMware and Red hat Support Engineer.
• To carry out day-to-day running of the project.
• To complete tasks in accordance with the completion criteria defined, including contractual commitment.
• Participate in relevant activities defined in the service plans.
• Responsible for the handling of enquiries, resolving bugs in the system, applying software patches to the system, supporting service requests, change requests and amendments to the system due to change in business requirements.
JD - RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for the system design, implementation, testing, managing and maintenance of proposed system.
• Work closely with the Team Leader to meet system delivery milestones.
• Provide technical documentation support to Project & Solutions Teams, as well as hand over as-built system documentation to Maintenance support team.
• Engage with back-line support and/or with vendor’s support to diagnose and rectify technical problems.
• Assist in day-to-day operation of the System Delivery team.
• Carry out other technical related duties that may be required.

JD - REQUIREMENTS
• 3-5 years of relevant IT experience.
• Strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Cluster and Satellite.
• Good if able to support other flavors of Unix, such as Solaris, HP-UX, CentOS, Ubuntu and HPC Systems.
• Proven experience in system design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site at client premises.
• Availability for 24/7 standby, but not required to work on shifts.
