Duties & Responsibilities:
- The candidate must conduct civil and structural design for water treatment plants.
- Design of structures for water and wastewater facilities (i.e. concrete slabs, piles, tanks, equipment pedestals, pipe supports, skids, pipe racks etc.)
- Prepare drawings and organise design reviews.
- Review project specifications, manufacturer submittals, local standards and codes
- Prepare drawings for permits and construction.
- Produce load, pressure, stress calculation and analysis.
- Provide technical advice on construction materials, installation methods etc.
- Liaise with consultants, architects, contractors, and suppliers to resolve project issues.
- Assist and support designers in preparing structural drawings.
- Work with Project Managers and other team members.
Skills & Experiences required:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering
- At least 7 years of exposure and experience in water and wastewater facilities or related industrial fields preferred.
- Exposure with steel structures, concrete structures and civil works
- Ability to analyze structure design and recommend modifications.
- Ability to analyze and prepare structural calculation and details of structural elements
- Sound knowledge according to local standards & codes, regulation, and guidelines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with STAAD Pro and AutoCAD software skills
