A Contracts Manager plays a critical role in safeguarding the interests of the organization and ensuring that contractual agreements contribute positively to overall business objectives. Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of legal and contractual principles are essential for success in this role.

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of contracts, from initiation and negotiation to execution and closeout.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with legal teams to address any legal issues in contracts.
  • Identify potential risks in contracts and work to mitigate them.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with contractual obligations by all parties involved.
  • Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may affect contract compliance.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, including negotiating contracts and resolving issues that may arise during the contract lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all contracts and related documents.
  • Ensure that documentation complies with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Work with legal teams to resolve disputes and conflicts arising from contract issues.
  • Implement dispute resolution mechanisms specified in contracts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree/master’s in Construction Management, Engineering, Accounting or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience is required with proven track record of successfully completing projects.
  • Experience in Middle East Preferred
  • Proficient in Standard Forms of Contract (FIDIC/PSSCOC/SIA/REDAS)
  • Knowledge in contract law, SOP Act and dispute resolution.
  • Experience in handling project with contract value in excess of $100 million.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, construction techniques, materials, codes, and regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
