Job Responsibilities
- Create, or find and evaluate, better and more efficient ways to manufacture products, which involves techniques, processes, and procedures.
- Continuous improvement of product quality through leaner concepts and activities.
- Your success requires a broad knowledge of equipment and tools and the ability to effect change through influence.
- A Manufacturing Engineer works often hands-on, interacting with production personnel and with engineering and manufacturing groups to ensure lean plans are created and implemented.
- Design new Lean Six Sigma concepts or evaluate and implement existing concepts and best-in-class manufacturing techniques.
- Incorporate engineering specifications into design, process, or techniques and provide feedback to capture lessons learned.
- Create, implement, and monitor key performance indicators and metrics.
- Improve manufacturing process cost.
- Ensure solutions achieve required quality levels, reliability, and consistency.
- Coordinate investigations to address deviations and non-conformances, working with relevant subject matter experts as needed to ensure corrective and preventive actions are completed and address root causes.
- Develop, implement and maintain relevant quality procedures in compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) and client requirements as needed.
- Ensure compliance to internal and external management systems.
- Conduct audit processes internally and at suppliers, including planning, preparation, execution, reporting results, and remedial work plans.
- Develop and implement internal Quality Control Plans (QCP) including customer- and project specific QCPs. Participate in design reviews and criticality assessments of processes as input to QCP development.
- Verify and ensure quality requirements are met before release of product for shipment
- Contribute to Quality Improvement Plans internally and with suppliers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s in industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering with minimum 1 to 3 of relevant experience
- Good to have relevant combined manufacturing engineering and quality function experience
- Relevant experience in Oil & Gas industry will clearly be a plus
- Experience in handling failure investigations and ISO and API audits will be beneficial
- Familiar with CNC machines, leading process improvements, handling capex projects
- Understanding of lean six sigma methodologies will be beneficial
