AHU Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled AHU Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, assembly, testing and commissioning, preventive maintenance, and retrofitting of AHU systems. As an AHU Technician, you will work with a variety of HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. You will also be tasked with diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, as well as performing repairs and replacements as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, assemble, and commission AHU systems according to engineering drawings and specifications.
2. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on AHU equipment to ensure functionality and efficiency.
3. Perform retrofitting of existing AHU systems to improve performance or comply with updated regulations.
4. Troubleshoot AHU systems to identify and resolve issues with mechanical, electrical, and control components.
5. Test and adjust AHU equipment to optimize performance and energy efficiency.
6. Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to complete projects within specified timelines and budgets.
7. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and replacements.
8. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on AHU systems.

Requirements:

1. Minimum education level: ITE (Institute of Technical Education) certificate or equivalent in HVAC or related field.
2. Proven work experience as an AHU Technician or similar role for a minimum of 2 years.
3. Strong knowledge of AHU systems, including installation, assembly, testing and commissioning, preventive maintenance, and retrofitting.
4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical manuals.
5. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with AHU equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
6. Experience with HVAC tools and equipment for installation, testing, and maintenance.
7. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Valid driver's license and clean driving record (if required for on-site service calls).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in HVAC systems or related field.
• Additional training or certifications in AHU equipment installation, maintenance, or repair.
• Experience working with commercial or industrial AHU systems.
