Nityo Infotech is looking for a Systems Management Manager. This is a 1 year contract with Nityo, with the opportunity to renew/convert to perm directly with client.
The roles and responsibilities are as follows:
a. Manage projects that have transits to warranty / maintenance phase. Work with the vendors, users and relevant parties to ensure systems in warranty or maintenance phase are functioning and performing to specifications. In event of system failure or non-performance to specification, the candidate shall work with the vendors to recover or reinstate the system to its operational states or functionalities in the shortest possible time.
b. Manage in-service systems to ensure each system’s availability is met to support the User operations.
c. Ensure systems are performing in accordance with their system requirements and specifications. Conduct performance review on systems on a regular basis.
d. Together with Operation & Support (O&S) vendors and OEMs, to conduct system faults and defect investigations and manage the rectification process to reinstate the system to its operational condition.
e. Manage maintenance contracts with the relevant vendors to ensure prompt deliveries of services / products and address renewals of contracts and payments to the vendors, as well as to ensure the availability of funds for such payments.
f. Manage system modifications and upgrades through project implementation. Work closely with Users to justify for system modifications / upgrades and assist to seek the necessary approvals from higher management.
g. To support and carry out relevant tasks to ensure operational systems are in compliance with latest ICT related policies. (E.g. Security Audits, IM8 policy compliance matters etc.);
h. Undertake other responsibilities, tasks, projects as assigned by the HTX Management.
The candidate shall meet the following criteria:
1. The candidate shall preferably possess good Project Management and Systems Management skills and knowledge; and understand the concept of System life cycle.
2. The candidate shall preferably have previous experience in maintaining operational systems.
3. The candidate shall preferably be a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or equivalent practitioner Project Management and System Management experiences.
4. The candidate shall preferably have a sound understanding of and the ability to set up and operate ICT infra, including but not limited to the following:
· Network and Communications Infrastructure;
· Computing and Cloud Infrastructure; and
· Data Centre Management
